Andrew Lukacek, a 28-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost his life in the early hours of September 11, 2021. The incident occurred around 1:49 AM when Gary Police and Fire were dispatched to 6201 W. 25th Ave in response to a report of a male who had been shot next to a vehicle in an abandoned lot. Upon arrival, they found Lukacek lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
