Death by Force

On the evening of January 21, 2025, 26-year-old African American male Darian Hilson was fatally shot inside a residence located in the 2100 block of Delaware Street in Gary, Indiana. Responding to reports of gunfire around 10:28 p.m., Gary police officers discovered Hilson unresponsive in the kitchen. Despite efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lake County Coroner later ruled his death a homicide.
