In the spring of 2023, the life of Charles Roy, a 33-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short by gun violence in Gary, Indiana. On the evening of Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Roy was found deceased, the victim of a homicide. Another man, 42-year-old Edward Lott, also lost his life in the same incident.
