A woman disappears after going to a private party; her body is found 8 mos later buried in a backyard In the autumn of 2016, a 23-year-old woman named Angela Barlow, known to her friends and family as Angie, disappeared under mysterious circumstances in Indianapolis. A dancer by profession, she had accepted a request to perform at a private party on the evening of October 26, 2016, after receiving a text message from an unknown person. Before heading to the party, she presciently sent a message to her roommate with the address, joking, 'Just in case I go missing lol.'
This would be one of the last times anyone heard from her.
Concerns grew when Angela, a female, did not return home the following day. Her family, including her mother Christina Kramer, promptly reported her missing. The investigation into her disappearance began, and police soon discovered grainy surveillance footage showing Angela's car leaving the apartment complex where the party was held, followed closely by another vehicle. The second car was traced to a woman named Raven Miller, who, along with her partner Baron McCullough, had hosted the party. The couple admitted that Angela had been at their apartment but claimed she left around 3 a.m. Twelve days after she vanished, Angela's car was found abandoned and damaged miles from the party location, but there was still no sign of her.
For eight months, Angela's family and friends waited for answers. The break in the case came in June 2017, when an anonymous tip led police to a property in Indianapolis. In the backyard, buried in a shallow grave, they found human remains. The body was badly decomposed, but through tattoos, Christina Kramer was able to identify the remains as her daughter, Angela. It was later determined that she had been shot to death.
Despite identifying persons of interest, a detective has stated a belief that other people were present at the party and know what happened to Angela that night. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Angela Barlow, and her case remains unsolved. The family continues to seek justice for Angela, whose life was tragically cut short.
