On March 9, 2025, 63-year-old African American woman Georgia Ann Beans was found fatally shot at Serenity Manor, an independent senior living community located in the 1100 block of North Edmondson Avenue on the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Responding officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived around 11:30 a.m. and discovered Ms. Beans deceased at the scene. The Marion County Coroner's Office confirmed her death as a homicide.
