In a quiet neighborhood on the west side of Indianapolis, the sound of gunshots shattered the calm just before noon on March 25, 2019. Quran Isaiah McCoy, a 22-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in the area of 10th Street and Girls School Road. Following the shooting, McCoy was seen by residents running through front yards, desperately knocking on doors and pleading for help.
