In the early hours of a Wednesday morning, the life of 16-year-old Daekorion Sultzer was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. On July 13, 2022, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the Woods at Oak Crossing apartments on Merrick Way, located on the city's northwest side, shortly before 1:30 a.m. following reports of a shooting.
