Johnny Peluyera, a 16-year-old from Merrillville, Indiana, tragically lost his life on June 12, 2019, in Gary, Indiana. Johnny was attempting to sell his used Xbox through the OfferUp app when he was fatally shot. He had arranged to meet the buyer, Garry Lee Higgins, in the 5000 block of Maryland Street in Gary.
