In the early morning hours of August 11, 2019, the life of 36-year-old Mutee Pedro Burnett, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Kokomo, Indiana. At approximately 4:21 a.m., Kokomo Police Department officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Elm Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Burnett lying in the roadway with what appeared to be a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
