On August 11, 2019, a violent incident occurred in Indianapolis, Indiana, resulting in the death of Marquis Quinn, a 20-year-old Black male. He was attending a summer block party at the New Bridge Apartments, located on Beckwith Drive near 25th Street and Keystone Avenue.
