In the early hours of a Saturday morning, on April 4, 2020, tragedy struck in Gary, Indiana, claiming the life of Jose Gonzalez, a 26-year-old male. Mr. Gonzalez, who was identified as Black / African American, was at the GoLo Gas Station located at 11th & Clark Rd when gunfire erupted shortly after midnight.
