In the late spring of 2017, the life of 28-year-old DeAngelo Spencer was tragically cut short in Gary, Indiana. On the morning of May 23rd, police responded to a call of a person shot in the 2400 block of Pierce Street. Inside a home, they discovered Spencer, a Black male, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel were unable to save him, and the Lake County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead at the scene at 9:30 a.m. The authorities swiftly ruled his death
