Khalil Parker Sr., a 24-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, was fatally shot on April 7, 2020. The incident occurred around 7:55 p.m. in the 1900 block of Carolina Street. According to the Lake County coroner’s office, Parker was pronounced dead approximately an hour after the shooting.
