Laurence Clay Mangum, a 25-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost his life on July 5, 2022. Laurence was attending a block party in Gary when a mass shooting occurred just after midnight. The incident resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including Laurence, and left seven others wounded. The shooting took place in the 1900 block of Missouri Street, and upon arrival, police found multiple victims with gunshot wounds.
