Death by Force

Jason D. Harris, a 24-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, was tragically shot to death on March 18, 2017. According to reports, officers were called to the 400 block of Ellsworth Street around 9:45 a.m. after receiving information about a man lying face-down in the backyard of a vacant home. Upon arrival, they discovered Harris with multiple gunshot wounds. The Lake County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead at 10:38 a.m., and his death was ruled a homicide.
