On the evening of June 13, 2020, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Eastern Avenue, near the intersection of East 30th Street and North Keystone Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Robert James Christian III suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside a residence. He was transported to a local hospital but, despite medical efforts, succumbed to his injuries.
