On June 13, 2020, Robert James Christian III, a 23-year-old Black male, was shot multiple times in the 3000 block of Eastern Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m., and when officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Mr. Christian with life-threatening injuries.
