In the early hours of July 5, 2020, a young mother's life was cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana, leaving a family searching for answers that have yet to come. Jessica Doty Whitaker, a 24-year-old female, was walking along the Indianapolis Canal Walk with her fiancé, Jose Ramirez, and two friends when a contentious argument erupted with another group of people. The confrontation, which occurred around 3 a.m., would ultimately lead to her tragic death.
