Deborah Denise Russell, a 57-year-old African American woman, was found shot to death inside a home on Indianapolis' east side on January 8, 2025. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a welfare check request at a residence on East 20th Place, near East 21st Street and Emerson Avenue.
