Shamon Lee Little, a 21-year-old male, was fatally shot on the night of November 27, 2020, at The Muse on Main, a music venue in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The incident, which marked the city's 42nd homicide of the year, is believed to have stemmed from a conflict that escalated inside the establishment.
The Fort Wayne Police Department's investigation into Little's death unfolded over several years. Initially, two individuals were identified as persons of interest.
The case remained open for a considerable time, but a breakthrough eventually led to charges being filed. In the summer of 2025, Cameron Starks, then 24 years old, was formally charged with the murder of Shamon Little. At the time the charges were announced, Starks was already incarcerated at the Westville Correctional Facility on unrelated handgun and cocaine possession charges.
According to court documents, the shooting was preceded by a physical altercation. An argument reportedly broke out between Starks, who was at the venue with two companions, and Shamon Little and his brother. It is alleged that during this dispute, Starks drew a. 45 caliber handgun and fired the shot that killed Little. Investigators were aided by a jailhouse informant who provided details about the incident. This informant had spoken with another individual who was with Starks on the night of the shooting. Further evidence reportedly included a rap song, allegedly recorded by Starks on the one-year anniversary of the homicide, in which he boasted about a shooting.
Following the issuance of an arrest warrant for the murder charge, Cameron Starks was slated for an initial court hearing. While the investigation pointed to Starks as the sole shooter, it was noted that his two companions were also armed at the time of the incident. The security at the venue reportedly knew Starks and his associates and allowed them to enter with their weapons. As of late 2025, the case against Cameron Starks for the murder of Shamon Little was proceeding through the Allen County judicial system.
