In the summer of 2021, the life of 12-year-old Mario A. Gilmer Jr., a Black male, was tragically cut short in Fort Wayne, Indiana. On the evening of Monday, June 14th, Mario was reported missing, having last been seen around 5 p.m. south of Parkview Field. A public safety alert was issued as concern for the young boy grew.
