In the late hours of August 22, 2024, the sound of gunfire shattered the evening calm at the Arbors of Southtown apartment complex in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Responding to a call from an off-duty firefighter who heard the shots, police arrived at the 7900 block of Decatur Road to a grim discovery. Inside one of the apartments, they found 29-year-old Jamion Martin of Chicago, a male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
