On September 15, 2023, at approximately 1:20 AM, the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of St. Mary’s Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Upon arrival, officers found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the males, identified as 28-year-old Travis Gilbert, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
