In the early morning hours of July 30, 2021, the life of George Henry Radford Jr., a 47-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana. Patrolling officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department heard the sound of gunshots ring out near the 3000 block of North Capitol Avenue just before 4:30 a.m. Responding to the sound, they discovered Mr. Radford with injuries consistent with at least one gunshot wound.
Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after being found.
George, affectionately known as 'Junebug,' was born in Indianapolis on October 13, 1973. He was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and had attended Purdue University. For thirteen years, he was an employee of Amazon. Known for his vibrant personality, he was described as the life of the party with a contagious laugh and a great smile that could light up any room.
As of the initial reports, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department had not released any information regarding a possible suspect or any arrests made in connection with the shooting.
