Thomas DeLaCruz Jr., a 13-year-old boy from Hammond, Indiana, tragically lost his life on October 31, 2021, while out trick-or-treating with friends and family. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in his grandmother's neighborhood. According to reports, a verbal altercation took place between a trick-or-treater in DeLaCruz's group, who was wearing a clown mask, and a man across the street.
