In a tragic turn of events stemming from a family dispute, 34-year-old Jaime Rodriguez was shot and killed on April 16, 2016, in Hammond, Indiana. The male victim's life was cut short in a violent confrontation that ultimately led to the death of his assailant as well.
The incident unfolded in the early hours of that Saturday, when officers were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Michigan Street following reports of shots fired.
