On June 1, 2024, 22-year-old Alijah Adams was killed in Hammond, Indiana, in an incident involving an attempted robbery. According to police investigations, Adams allegedly forced his way into an apartment in the 600 block of 169th Street, intending to rob the residence while armed with a firearm.
