In the winter of 2018, the life of 20-year-old Shermaine Burger Sargent was tragically cut short in Hammond, Indiana. On Friday, January 5th, Sargent was fatally wounded by gunfire in an incident that unfolded near Morton High School. The young man, known affectionately as 'Burger,' was pronounced dead at the scene.
