In the summer of 2014, a night out in Hammond, Indiana, turned into a tragedy that ended the life of 26-year-old Raudel Contreras Jr. On August 14th, Contreras was at a local bar when violence erupted. He was not involved in any gang activity and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, an innocent bystander to a conflict that would cost him his life.
