In Fort Wayne, Indiana, a 21-year-old male named Luke Matthew Borror, who was Caucasian, tragically lost his life on the evening of April 6, 2022. A graduate of Westview High School, he was known for his skillful and passionate work on anything from cars to computers. On that fateful evening, what began as an online arrangement to sell vape cartridges ended in a fatal encounter in the parking lot of the New Covenant Worship Center.
The meeting took a violent turn when a struggle ensued
over a backpack, culminating in Luke being shot. A friend who was on a FaceTime call with him at the time heard the gunshots and tragically discovered his body upon arriving at the scene. The Fort Wayne Police Department launched an exhaustive investigation into the homicide.
Their investigation led to the arrest of two juveniles in connection with the murder. The primary suspect, 15-year-old Aung Oo, was charged as an adult with felony murder. Another teenager was also charged with felony murder and robbery. During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the incident was captured on video, which played a significant role in the case.
Aung Oo ultimately pleaded guilty to felony murder. As part of a plea agreement, other charges, including murder and robbery resulting in death, were dismissed. He was sentenced to the maximum of 65 years in prison. During the sentencing, Luke's family expressed their profound grief and pain, highlighting the lack of remorse shown by the perpetrator.
