In the early morning hours of July 5, 2022, a family disturbance on the east side of Indianapolis escalated into a fatal shooting, claiming the life of 26-year-old Anthony Higginson Jr. The incident unfolded around 6:20 a.m. in the 3600 block of North Grant Avenue, near the intersection of North Sherman Drive and East 36th Street. When officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered two men who had sustained gunshot wounds.
