On July 8, 2024, Dartanian Lamonte Cole, a 38-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the 6800 block of Faris Avenue, near a pond in an apartment complex. Police responded to reports of a person shot shortly before 9 p.m. and found Cole suffering from gunshot wounds.
