In the spring of 2024, on March 28th, tragedy struck the city of Indianapolis when 36-year-old David Scott Howes, a male, was killed. The incident, a result of gun violence, unfolded at an apartment complex on the south side of the city, in close proximity to the interchange of I-465 and I-65.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered David Scott Howes suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of medical first responders, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Marion County Coroner’s office later confirmed his identity and the cause of death.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into the shooting. Detectives began canvassing the area for witnesses and any potential evidence that could shed light on the circumstances leading to the fatal event. At this time, information regarding a suspect or any arrests in connection with the case has not been made publicly available.
