In the early evening of August 9, 2022, on the east side of Indianapolis, the life of 27-year-old Marshal Jones was tragically cut short. Responding to reports of a shooting in the 3500 block of North Leland Avenue, near East 36th Street and Emerson Avenue, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived to find Jones suffering from gunshot wounds.
