On July 12, 2021, the body of 33-year-old Steven Israel II was discovered in a pond on the far east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. The discovery followed a report of shots fired in the 11000 block of Brookville Road around 1:30 a.m. that morning. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to the call, which indicated that a person might be injured and in danger.
