In the late hours of a November night in 2018, tragedy struck on the far east side of Indianapolis, forever altering the lives of a local family. In the early morning of November 25th, in the 3100 block of Acoma Drive, gunfire erupted, leaving two men critically wounded. One of those men was 19-year-old Trashawn Rose-McKinstry, a Black / African American male born in Indianapolis on March 4, 1999. Emergency services rushed both victims to a nearby hospital, their lives hanging in the balance.
