Derrick Curtis Perry II, a 32-year-old male, was fatally shot on the northeast side of Indianapolis on the night of January 4, 2024. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 10:15 p.m. in the 4800 block of Lakeshore Place, near Allisonville Road and 82nd Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Perry suffering from gunshot wounds in the common area of an apartment building. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
