On July 25, 2022, Khamari Andrews, a 22-year-old resident of Merrillville, Indiana, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. The Merrillville Police Department responded to a shots fired call around 9:11 PM in the 7300 block of Noble Street. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and found Andrews, who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
