In the early hours of August 13, 2022, in Marion, Indiana, a report of gunshots shattered the morning's quiet. Police responded to the 2600 block of South Washington Street, where they were told vehicles were seen speeding away from the area after the sound of gunfire. The initial search of the immediate vicinity revealed no victim.
About half an hour later, a grim discovery was made a block away on Adams Street.
There, in a yard, lay 32-year-old Todd Anthony Gosha, a man from the nearby city of Anderson, suffering from a gunshot wound. Bystanders were attempting to administer CPR when officers arrived. Police and medics took over first aid until he could be transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
