On the evening of December 8, 2022, a planned drug transaction at Cardinal Bark Park in Brownsburg, Indiana, took a fatal turn, ending the life of 20-year-old Christian Michael Arciniega. The male victim had arranged to meet with a buyer, unaware that the meeting was a setup for a robbery.
Christian was in his car with his girlfriend when the supposed buyer, 23-year-old Deamonta McIntyre, entered the vehicle.
McIntyre, who had been driven to the location by his girlfriend, 21-year-old Kee Meh, attempted to rob Arciniega at gunpoint. A struggle ensued, during which McIntyre shot and killed Christian. Following the shooting, McIntyre and Meh stole Arciniega's vehicle and abandoned it in Indianapolis.
The Brownsburg Police Department responded to a report of a person shot at the park at approximately 11:07 p.m. and found Arciniega, who had succumbed to a gunshot wound. A swift and thorough investigation led to the identification and arrest of McIntyre and Meh. McIntyre was preliminarily charged with murder and armed robbery, while Meh faced a preliminary charge of assisting a criminal.
Ultimately, Deamonta McIntyre accepted a plea agreement and was sentenced to 60 years in prison for the murder. Kee Meh also accepted a plea agreement for her role in the crime. Another individual, Jaylin Stovall, was later charged with armed robbery and criminal confinement for his involvement in planning the robbery.
