On a cold January evening in 2002, in what police would later describe as a drug-related assassination, 22-year-old Robert Irvin Morrison was shot and killed in a Dumfries, Virginia, apartment. The fatal attack, which also claimed the life of his 22-year-old roommate, Romanno Avellino Head, took place late on the night of January 2nd. A third man, also 22, was shot in the head during the same incident but miraculously survived and was able to call the police.
