The last confirmed sighting of Zachary was around 4:00 a.m. His mother reported him missing shortly before 5:00 a.m. Following his disappearance, an extensive search was conducted in the surrounding area, involving cadaver dogs and helicopters, but no evidence of his whereabouts was found.
Investigators have described Zachary's disappearance as suspicious. Although Leah Hackett faced scrutiny during the investigation due to the circumstances, she maintained her innocence.
