Jamaica Bynum, a 25-year-old resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, tragically lost her life on June 3, 2009. Bynum, who was born in Portsmouth, was a dedicated mother of two children and was pursuing a career in nursing. She worked in the medical section of a local jail and was studying to become a registered nurse, with plans to graduate in September 2009.
