On January 20, 2024, Justin Murphy, a 39-year-old resident of Sun Valley, Nevada, was fatally shot at a gas station in Reno. The incident occurred near the intersection of South Virginia Street and Gentry Way. The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Murphy's identity and ruled his death a homicide.
