In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Suffolk, Virginia, the life of 20-year-old Brandon Alexander Alston was tragically cut short. On June 29, 2011, neighbors on Blackstone Way heard the alarming sound of gunshots at approximately 11 p.m. When police responded to the scene, they discovered the young male in the doorway of his residence, having been shot through the front door. The shattered storm door and bullet holes served as grim evidence of the violence that had just occurred.
