Darrell Johnson, a 21-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on May 15, 2021, in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Marquette Road when an unknown assailant opened fire, striking Johnson multiple times. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide. Area Two detectives are investigating the case.
