In the early morning hours of August 12, 2011, the life of 29-year-old Sherrod Dontray Brown was tragically cut short in Norfolk, Virginia. Gunfire erupted on Bagnall Road at approximately 4:30 a.m., and when the violence subsided, Brown was found fatally wounded. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
