On December 1, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., 33-year-old Antwain Desean Curtis was fatally shot inside a 7-Eleven located at 151 W. Little Creek Road in Norfolk, Virginia. Surveillance footage revealed that 29-year-old Javon Jerome Reap entered the store, approached Curtis, and shot him once in the chest at point-blank range. The bullet pierced Curtis's heart, leading to his immediate death. Reap then fled the scene in a vehicle.
