In the early morning hours of July 18, 2020, the life of 20-year-old Kenneth Malik Davis was tragically cut short in Norfolk, Virginia. Police responded to a report of a gunshot disturbance in the 1000 block of Mission Street at approximately 3:15 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Davis suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Kenneth, who was born on December 14, 1999, was known
to his loved ones by the nicknames 'Malik' and 'Three.' His sudden death left a void in the lives of his family and friends, who remembered him as a person who could make anyone smile and the life of the party. In the wake of the shooting, the Norfolk Police Department initiated an investigation into the homicide.
Detectives began piecing together the events that led to the fatal shooting. As they continued their investigation, they urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the Norfolk Crime Line. To date, public records do not indicate that any arrests have been made in connection with the death of Kenneth Malik Davis, and the case remains an ongoing investigation.
