In the fading daylight of a September evening in Chesapeake, Virginia, a young man's life was cut short by a burst of violence that remains a mystery more than a decade later. On September 21, 2011, 21-year-old Marquise K. Williams was found lying on the ground at the corner of Bethel and Algona roads in the South Norfolk section of the city. It was around 7:30 p.m. when police responded to the scene and discovered that Williams, a resident of Norfolk, had been fatally shot.
