On the night of September 2, 2011, in the Bridle Creek apartment complex in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the life of 27-year-old Antone D. Brehon, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Brehon was fatally shot in the 1500 block of Halter Drive following a robbery and a subsequent altercation. The events that led to his death began approximately two hours earlier when a robbery occurred at the same location, setting the stage for the violent confrontation that would ultimately claim his life.
